My 7 year old brought me to the Symphony!

Thanks to some smart ad placement, my daughter asked me to take her to the to the Boston Symphony so she could hear some of her favorite sound tracks from composer John Williams.

To be honest, the Symphony wasn't on the top of our summer "to do" list. When Grace asked us to get tickets, we were happy to take her! It was so refreshing to sit in the theatre and see young audience members sandwiched between older ones, each conducting from their seat as they listened to scores from Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones and even the theme song for the Olympics.

At 80 years old, John WIlliams didn't miss a beat and neither did Senator Alan Simpson as he narrated a captivating story to The Reivers. It was an event enjoyed by all ages. This summer, in addition to going to water parks and seeing Pixar films, try to expose your child to the arts. http://www.bostonahtsfestival.com. Next up for our family: The Lion King!

Enjoy the video - it is a few minutes long but worth it.
